8 Years in the Desert from Orin Swift is a bold red blend led by Zinfandel with Petite Sirah and Syrah. It's named for the eight-year non-compete winemaker Dave Phinney observed after selling The Prisoner. Dark chocolate, blackberry jam, plum and a hint of pepper.
